All Democrats Are Radicals

Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are the new faces of the new Democratic Party. Their radical new vision for America has been roundly accepted by the Democrat establishment and there is no going back. Joe Biden has been forced to pivot and flip-flop on what were once considered moderate positions on immigration, abortion and justice. Nancy Pelosi has been forced—albeit brilliantly—by Donald Trump to defend and embrace the radical, socialist visions of Omar and Ocasio-Cortez. From here forward, Democrats will move to the far fringes of radicalism, as Donald Trump chews up and spits out their next presidential nominee for 2020.

Unabashed Socialism

Ilhan Omar was one of the new radical Democrats to encourage Trump not to accept Juan Guaido as the official president and leader of Venezuela. Guaido has been putting up a fight against Nicolas Maduro's crumbling, corrupt and vicious socialist dictatorship. Maduro, like his predecessor Hugo Chavez, has overseen the complete social and economic collapse of Venezuela under strict socialism and government control.

Since the crisis of leadership and democratic legitimacy in Venezuela, Maduro has censored media and overseen periodic blackouts—particularly pertaining to coverage of Juan Guaido. In January, Wikipedia was blocked across the entire country after Juan Guaido's page was edited to show him as Venezuela's new president.

Venezuela has strong price controls, a gasoline shortage outside of Caracas, food shortages and wide ranging problems with social civility. All of these things have created a severe human rights crisis that Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are willing to ignore. Their support for Nicolas Maduro rings similar to the support that American Nazi sympathizers gave to Germany during World War II. Despite evidence of extensive human rights violations, Democrats have chosen to support a ruthless, power-hungry dictator in Venezuela.

Socialism is such an important new policy for Democrats that they have tried to ignore the absolute catastrophe unfolding in Venezuela.

Hatred Of Israel And Jews

How times have changed. Ilhan Omar has been able to shift Democrat policies toward anti-Semitism and the hatred of Israel. Despite consistent anti-Semitic tweets and remarks, as well as support for the BDS movement, Democrat leaders have failed to condemn Omar and her views. Instead, they have embraced and accepted her stance against Israel.

Joining Omar in her support of boycott and divestment against Israel is another Democratic Congresswoman, Rashida Tlaib. Both have consistently criticized the existence of Israel and called on companies, politicians and countries to boycott the Jewish state and its citizens.

Writing for the Wall Street Journal, Ayaan Hirsi Ali asked whether Ilhan Omar would ever be able to overcome her own prejudice against Jews, which Ali believes was ingrained into her by Muslim culture:

I never heard the term “anti-Semitism” until I moved to the Netherlands in my 20s. But I had firsthand familiarity with its Muslim variety. As a child in Somalia, I was a passive consumer of anti-Semitism. Things would break, conflicts would arise, shortages would occur—and adults would blame it all on the Jews.

When I was a little girl, my mom often lost her temper with my brother, with the grocer or with a neighbor. She would scream or curse under her breath “Yahud!” followed by a description of the hostility, ignominy or despicable behavior of the subject of her wrath. It wasn’t just my mother; grown-ups around me exclaimed “Yahud!” the way Americans use the F-word. I was made to understand that Jews—Yahud—were all bad. No one took any trouble to build a rational framework around the idea—hardly necessary, since there were no Jews around. But it set the necessary foundation for the next phase of my development.

At 15 I became an Islamist by joining the Muslim Brotherhood. I began attending religious and civil-society events, where I received an education in the depth and breadth of Jewish villainy.

Hirsi Ali goes on to say:

The problem of Muslim anti-Semitism is much bigger than Ilhan Omar. Condemning her, expelling her from the House Foreign Affairs Committee, or defeating her in 2020 won’t make the problem go away.

Islamists have understood well how to couple Muslim anti-Semitism with the American left’s vague notion of “social justice.” They have succeeded in couching their agenda in the progressive framework of the oppressed versus the oppressor. Identity politics and victimhood culture also provide Islamists with the vocabulary to deflect their critics with accusations of “Islamophobia,” “white privilege” and “insensitivity.” A perfect illustration was the way Ms. Omar and her allies were able to turn a House resolution condemning her anti-Semitism into a garbled “intersectional” rant in which Muslims emerged as the most vulnerable minority in the league table of victimhood.

Through her Twitter account, Ilhan Omar has consistently insinuated and directly stated that American politicians are paid by wealthy Jewish elites to support Israel. Her views of Jewish wealth and world dominance through financial means are consistent with anti-Semitic Muslim beliefs from around the world, in which Jews are portrayed as evil, money-grubbing vermin who control global affairs from the shadows. Omar has also benefited from using social justice and accusations of racism in her political discourse. As stated by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib have used accusations of discrimination and inequality, while also making racist and prejudiced remarks against Jews, in ways that bind perfectly with the visions of the American left.

However, Donald Trump and the GOP should not worry too much. Ilhan Omar's brand of left-wing anti-Semitism is a gift to the right, as explained by Michelle Goldberg:

In truth, while Aipac’s influence is extensive, no one needs to pay off conservatives to make them support Israel. Evangelicals, a far bigger constituency than American Jews, tend to be pro-Israel for religious reasons; some believe that the return of Jews to their biblical homeland is a precondition for the rapture and the Second Coming of Christ. Plenty of others on the right love Israel because it’s a nationalistic, pro-American power in the middle of the Middle East. You can’t blame Jewish money for Kevin McCarthy’s terrible politics.

Not long after Pelosi’s statement, Omar released one of her own, apologizing “unequivocally.” She wrote, “Anti-Semitism is real and I am grateful for Jewish allies and colleagues who are educating me on the painful history of anti-Semitic tropes.” Personally, I’m happy to accept her apology. Progressive American Muslims and Jews should be natural allies; our mutual future depends on deepening this country’s embattled commitment to multiethnic democracy. Prejudice helps bind the modern right together, but unchecked it can rip the left apart.

Goldberg is hardly a conservative, as she clearly and expressly makes her own bias clear, but even she knows how effective Ilhan Omar's anti-Semitism will be in getting Donald Trump and the GOP re-elected in the future.

Open Borders And Backward Economics

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris—you name it. Almost the entire Democratic establishment has now adopted backward economic policies coupled with open borders and a complete disregard for national sovereignty.

Under Donald Trump, African-American unemployment rates are at an all-time low. But, under a Democratic policy of open borders, that would surely change. As documented and undocumented immigrants pour into America, the country's labor force will expand and the laws of economics will create an imbalance of supply and demand.

America currently has more jobs and less citizens who are legally able to work. This has benefited America's black community the most, by creating a high demand for labor and work in some of America's most impoverished communities—which also happen to be mostly black and Latino communities. Across the rust belt and South, more white Americans are also employed than ever before.

Low unemployment rates have benefited all of America. From race to race and from culture to culture, more Americans have steady employment and income than ever before.

Under a policy of open borders, a $15 minimum wage and higher taxes, America would see a return to the pre-Trump era of economic weakness and high unemployment. The Democratic Party's vision for America is one of socialism, anti-Semitism and open borders. Rather than reject these ideas, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and the Democrat establishment have accepted them. This means that the way forward for all Democrats is along a path of self-destruction and chaos.

Self-Destruction And Chaos

Socialism and open borders are not just destructive to America, they are destructive to the Democratic Party. The new anti-Semitic views of Democrats will hurt everyone, including America's allies and international relationships.

Israel will be sure to suffer if Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez and Omar get their ways, America's economic fortunes will wither away under Bernie Sanders and real equality will take a backseat to Joe Biden's pandering and appeal to social justice groups who have only one agenda: to divide America.

Democrats have made it clear that they are not capable of leading Americans on a path toward prosperity, unity and greatness. Only one candidate will become evident to Americans in 2020 and it will be Donald Trump.
